Brittany Chambers broke her career high with 36 points, but unfortunately it was not enough as K-State fell 66-57 to West Virginia on Tuesday night at WVU Coliseum in Morgantown. Chambers connected on 14-of-25 shots including 6-of-10 from three-point range, plus grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists.

The Cats sprinted out of the gates against the Mountaineers, leading by as many as 10 points in the first half before taking a 31-23 halftime lead.  West Virginia tied K-State at 34 with an 11-3 run to begin the second half, but didn’t take their first lead over K-State until 7:48 remaining when Jessica Harlee drained a three-pointer.  Overall, the Mountaineers went on a 15-2 run to put the game away.  Christal Caldwell and Ayana Dunning each led West Virginia (17-10, 9-7) with 15 points.  Chantay Caron was the other player for K-State (13-15, 4-12) in double digits with 11 points.

K-State will host Texas Tech on Senior Day this Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm at Bramlage Coliseum. Pregame from the K-State Sports Network will begin at noon on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
