K-State received a combined school record 59 points from its senior duo of Brittany Chambers and Mariah White on Saturday, but it was enough to upset #25 Iowa State as the Cyclones downed the Wildcats, 87-71.

K-State (12-11, 3-8 Big 12) was led by Brittany Chambers with a season-high 34 points, which included a career-high 13-of-17 from the line, 12 rebounds and four assists.

Joining Chambers in double digits was Mariah White with a career-high 25 points and six rebounds.

Chambers and White became the first K-State duo to combine for at least 50 points in a game since Jalana Childs and Chambers tallied 54 together at Nebraska on Feb. 19, 2011. The previous record of 57 points was set by Diana Miller and Nadira Hazim on Jan. 20, 1990 at Oklahoma.

Iowa State (16-5, 7-4) saw three players reach double digits and was paced by senior forward Chelsea Poppens with 22 points and 18 rebounds for her fifth double-double this season. The Cyclones leading scorer was Hallie Christofferson with 25 points while adding seven rebounds and four assists.

K-State will host Texas on Wednesday night at 7:00pm at Bramlage Coliseum. Pregame begins at 6:30 from the K-State Sports Network.
