The presence of more winter weather has altered the substate basketball tournament openers for a number of area teams.

Wamego girls and boys will now open their 4A substate in a doubleheader at home on Wednesday night.  The Red Raider boys will face Jeff West at 6:00pm, followed by the Lady Raiders against Highland Park.

Rock Creek will open in the same substate on Wednesday night, with both games at Hayden.  The Mustang boys will face Royal Valley at 4:30pm, while the Rock Creek girls will tangle with Santa Fe Trail at 6:00.

The Blue Valley boys and girls will play a doubleheader at Centralia on Thursday night to open their 1A Division I substate.  The Ram girls will face Linn at 6:15pm, while the boys will play Valley Heights at 7:30.
