The Sprint Center in Kansas City will get revved up on Wednesday night when the Big 12 tournament begins, albeit without any of the top six seeds in action.  Big 12 co-champs K-State and KU will found out their quarterfinal round opponents for Thursday.  Eighth seeded West Virginia and #9 seed Texas Tech will lead things off at 6:00pm, with the winner advancing to play Kansas. The winner of #7 seed Texas and 10th seeded TCU  gets the right to face the Wildcats on Thursday, and will tip at 8:30.

The other two quarterfinal matchups on Thursday are set as #4 seed Oklahoma plays #5 seed Iowa State and third seeded Oklahoma State will meet #6 seed Baylor.

The Big 12 tournament champion will be crowned Saturday night.
