Riley County Police spokesman officer Mathew Droge says as of the 7pm briefing things are picking up due to the rain diminishing, but no major incidents have been reported.  A notable arrest included an early morning search warrant at a local hotel stemming from an initial investigation of  false identification.  A search warrant at the motel landed the suspect additional drug charges of possession of methamphetamines, and prescription drugs.

At the time of the briefing the Riley County Police department reported 40 arrests, 203 reports filed, and 289 calls for service.  Charges were  mainly related to alcohol related incidents.  Those numbers are up slightly from last year with only calls for service falling 49 short of last years records.
