A day after Coach Brad Hill earned his 300th victory at K-State, the Wildcats claimed another victory on Wednesday afternoon over Niagara 10-1 to sweep the two game series at Tointon Family Stadium.  Freshman pitcher Blake McFadden (1-0) won his first start at K-State, going five innings and gave up just one run on three hits with three strikeouts.  Jared Moore, Levi MaVorhis, Landon Busch and Tanner Witt each pitched one inning the rest of the way, and combined to give up just one hit.

Backup catcher Joe Goodwin led K-State at the plate with three hits including a double and a triple.  He also scored a pair of runs.  Shane Conlon, Jared King, and Ross Kivett all had multi-hit days for the Wildcats as well.  Conlon extended his hitting streak to 11 games to open the season.  The Wildcats scored two runs in each of the first two innings off the Purple Eagles and completed the scoring with four tallies in the bottom of the eighth.

K-State will welcome in Cal Poly for a three-game weekend series starting on Friday with a 3:00pm first pitch.  The #21 Mustangs will be a big-time non-conference opponent as they come to Manhattan with an 11-1 record.  The BD4 Distributing pregame show begins at 2:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
