Kaylee and Lanie Page combined for 35 points as the Wamego girls basketball team pulled away for a 54-36 win over Pratt in the 4A state tournament quarterfinals at the Bicentennial Center in Salina.

The Lady Raiders grabbed a 13-3 edge after the first quarter, and stretched the lead to as many as 14 in the 2nd quarter. But, the Greenbacks scored seven straight points to end the frame to pull within 28-21 at halftime. Pratt would hold Wamego without a field goal for the first five minutes of the third quarter, and rallied to a 30-27 margin. After a timeout, the Lady Raiders sprinted out to a 38-29 lead going into the final period.  Wamego made their free throws in the fourth quarter, keyed by Kaylee Page, who 10 for 14 at the line for the game.  Rikki Alderson added 8 points and Lakyn Rowden had 6 for the Lady Raiders (23-1). Payton Hoeme topped the Pratt (14-10) effort with 13 points.

Wamego will take the floor in the 4A state tournament semifinals at 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon in Salina. Pregame begins at 2:40 on Hot Country B104.7.
