    Fatal Shooting: Update

    Riley County Police have released the names of the victims and suspect in the shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at 900 Garden Way in Manhattan.

    22 year-old US Army Soldier, Michael T. Lowery, of the 4th Brigade 4-1 DSDB Alpha Company, Ft. Riley, KS, was found deceased at the scene.

    Injured victims include:

    23 year-old Christine Kim of Junction City, was life flighted to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS for medical treatment. Kim is a former K-State student.

    23 year-old Alexya Maila of Manhattan, was also transported to St. Francis Hospital. She is a current K-State student.

    22 year-old US Army Soldier Dustin Ferguson of 900 Garden Way #9, is currently being treated at Mercy Regional Health Center.

    Three other people were present at the scene of the incident, but were not injured. These individuals include: 28 year-old US Army Soldier Joel Solano of 900 Gardenway #9, 24 year-old Erica Campos of Topeka, KS, and one year-old Elyana Solano of Topeka, KS.

    After investigation, 43 year-old Matthew Dennis Wilson of 900 Garden Way Apartment #10 was arrested for offenses of Murder in the first degree, Attempted Murder in the first degree (X3), and Aggravated Burglary. His bond was set at $2 million and is currently confined.

    The Riley County Police Department states they believe this is an isolated incident. An active investigation is on-going.
