    Infant Death Under Investigation

    TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) Topeka police say they are investigating the death of a 5-month-old child.

    Officers went to an apartment in central Topeka Tuesday evening to check on the child’s welfare. Police say in a news release the child was found in a bedroom and was declared dead.

    The name and gender of the child have not been released.

    Authorities have made no arrests as the investigation continues.
