The nation took notice of K-State’s three game sweep of Kansas this weekend. The Wildcats made the jump into multiple top 25 polls heading into the final Big 12 series of the year against Oklahoma.

K-State is ranked 18th by Collegiate Baseball, 19th by Baseball America, 21st in the USA Today Coaches Poll, 22nd by the NCBWA and 26th by Perfect Game. This marks the seventh straight week that K-State has at least received votes in the various top 25 polls. Last week the Wildcats found themselves ranked for the first time since May 24th, 2010 by coming in at 28 in the NCBWA poll and 29th in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

With a two game lead in the Big 12 standings, K-State welcomes in the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend at Tointon Family Stadium for a three game series. The Wildcats can clinch a share of the Big 12 title with one win this weekend, and they would clinch an outright league title with two wins. First pitch on Friday is set for 6:30. All three games this weekend can be heard on Sports Radio 1350 KMAN.
