    Sheriff’s Office Looking for Suspects in Theft

    Three men are wanted for questioning by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a theft at the local Walmart.

    Last Tuesday, two white males who appear to be in their 20’s to early 30’s entered the Wal-Mart store located on Bluemont Ave.

    While the two suspects were in the store they stole Apple I-pads from the electronics department which they placed into camping chair bags.

    The two left the store without paying for the items and got into a truck which had pulled up at the front exit of the store. Upon exiting they placed the bags into the bed of the

    The two were dressed similar wearing khaki shorts, white shirts and dark ball caps, while the third unknown person drove a dark, possibly blue extended cab pickup. The truck may be a late model Dodge Dakota.

    The loss is believed to be over $7,000. Anyone with information on these persons, vehicle, or this crime is urged to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353.
