At 10:22 pm Friday evening, inmate Randy Ridens, Sr, was apprehended as he was entering
Topeka, Kansas. He was immediately transported back to Lansing Correctional Facility. Earlier
in the evening, Allen Hurst and Scott Gilbert, the other two minimum custody escapees from
Lansing Correctional Facility, had been apprehended and taken into custody by law
enforcement officers in Clinton County, Missouri.
All three inmates had been declared on escape status from the minimum unit at Lansing
Correctional Facility at approximately 7:40 am earlier in the day.
