The name of a man injured in a window washing accident at Geary Community hospital this past weekend has been released. David Vanbebber Jr. of Riley was first treated at Geary Community hospital, but then transferred to Stormont-Vail in Topeka, for surgery on his back.
Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf indicated Monday the man fell three to four stories during the Monday morning accident.
Vanbebber suffered what Wolf called very serious injuries. The sheriff says the man was wearing a rope harness at the time, and it wasn’t immediately clear how or why he fell.
