Subway reported a theft to the Riley County Police Department on Wednesday.

Managers allege an internal theft from the 12th through the 16th of April resulted in$1,227 loss.

A suspect has been named, but no arrests have been made due to the police department’s inability to locate the individual at this time.

A contentious failed child exchange led to the arrest of a Manhattan man on Wednesday evening.

Police say a 29-year-old female says 32-year-old Isidro Martinez-Bannelas drove off-road to ram her vehicle near the El Tapatio Restaraunt on Stagg Hill Road.  According to Riley County Police reports the incident started at Manhattan City Park, and involved a car chase that ended at the restaurant.

The list of charges facing Martinez include two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of child endangerment.  The latter charges stem from the 8-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl present in the victim’s vehicle at the time of the alleged vehicle assault.

Martinez-Bannelas is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Riley County Police arrested a Concordia man for failure to appear in court on Wednesday night.

Tory Barleen was arrested on a warrant stemming from the original charges of drug possession.

Barleen is being held on a $10,000.
