Status Updates On Signifficant Cases In Geary County

geary-countyA substantial bond has been given to two Geary county men after they were charged with several different counts of sex related crimes

Geary county law enforcement officials took Jordan Young into custody and charged him with five counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, criminal sodomy, and solicitation of sexual exploitation of a child.

Young,  appeared with his council in a Geary county courtroom Tuesday and expressed his desire to waive his preliminary hearing, and a July 31st date was set for his next appearance. During which, he will make his plea.

Bond was set at more than $1 million.

Young has been identified as a music minister at a Junction City church, with molestations allegedly taking place over a four year time period, beginning in 2008. Young was arrested in August of last year.

In a separate case, Paul Goodman was arrested in Geary County and charged with one count of aggravated human trafficking, rape, and distribution of child porn.

Goodman’s bond was also set at $250,000 and he will make his first appearance next Thursday.

A Geary County man is was recently taken into custody and charged with a variety of drug charges.

Gerren Love was charged possession and intent to sell opiates, possession of depressants , two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and obstruction of the legal process.

Bond was set at $200,000 and Love will make his first court appearance next Thursday.
