After earning Big 12 Player of the Year honors, K-State junior second baseman Ross Kivett just picked up his second all-America distinction. Baseball America named Kivett a third team all-American after Collegiate Baseball also did so at the conclusion of the regular season. Kivett helped lead the Cats to their first Big 12 title and within an eyelash of the College World Series. He hit .360 with 15 doubles, four triples, three home runs and 39 RBI. Kivett was selected in the 10th round of last week’s Major League Baseball draft by his hometown Cleveland Indians. He is a native of Broadview Heights, OH.
