An injury accident involving a semi and several cows was reported in Clay County Tuesday night.
Matthew Salter, 31, of Missouri Valley, Iowa was taken to the Clay County Medical Center following the accident on K-15, 17 miles south of Clay Center. The Kansas Highway patrol reports Salter was driving a 1998 Peterbilt semi southbound on K-15 when the semi struck four cows, ending up in an east ditch.
The accident was reported at 10:40 Tuesday night. Seat belt use is unknown.
