Rodney McGruder and Jackie Carmichael each scored four points as the Miami Heat beat the Orlando Magic 94-80 in the NBA Summer League on Tuesday afternoon.

McGruder, an first team all-Big 12 pick for K-State last season, was 2 for 6 from the field and missed both three pointers he attempted for the Magic.  He also grabbed a rebound, steal, and assist in 16 minutes of action.

Carmichael, a Manhattan High grad and all-Missouri Valley player at Illinois State, played nine minutes, also went two of six from the field, and had two offensive rebounds for the Heat.

Carmichael and the Heat will play the Pistons on Thursday at noon, while McGruder and the Magic will face the 76ers on Thursday at 4:00pm.

K-State all-time leading shot blocker Jordan Henriquez made his NBA Summer League debut for the Houston Rockets in an 85-71 win over the Utah Jazz.  Henriquez played seven minutes, but did not attempt a shot or pick up a rebound.  He did have one steal.

The Rockets will play the Celtics on Wednesday at 2:00pm.
