Rodney McGruder made the most of his NBA summer league debut with the Orlando Magic, scoring 11 points in just 11 minutes of action during Orlando’s 95-88 win over the Boston Celtics Sunday afternoon.

McGruder made three of five shots from the floor, including two three pointers, and connected on all three of his free throw attempts.

Former Oklahoma Sooner Romero Osby tied for the Orlando scoring lead with 18 points in 24 minutes. The Magic will play the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10:00 AM Monday.

Jordan Henriquez did not see the floor in the Houston Rockets first summer league game on Sunday. The Rockets beat the Philadelphia 76ers 88-80. Henriquez was one of five Rockets to not participate in the game. Their next action will come Tuesday at 2:00 PM against the Utah Jazz.

Former Manhattan High School standout Jackie Carmichael had five points, two rebounds and two blocked shots in 11 minutes of action in his summer league opener with the Miami Heat. The Heat lost 69-59 to the Jazz. Next up the Heat get the Brooklyn Nets on Monday at 4:00 PM.
