K-State football fans who follow recruiting went through a range of emotions over the weekend due to a three-star quarterback prospect. According to GoPowercat.com, six-foot-three-inch 190-pound Aaron Sharp of Humble, Texas had the Cats in his top three, but announced on Friday night he was committing to Utah. After less than 24 hours though, Sharp had a change of heart after consulting with family and ultimately switched his choice to K-State on Saturday morning. Sharp now reportedly insists his verbal commitment with the Cats is solid, and is looking forward to playing for Coach Snyder.
Sharp plays for Texas high school power Summer Creek, and threw for 3,057 yards and 38 touchdowns as a junior last season. He also had Mississippi State in his list of final three schools.
