Kansas City closer Greg Holland was among three players chosen by AL Manager Jim Leyland of Detroit to replace pitchers in the all-star game who started on Sunday.

Holland, who has 22 saves in 24 chances for the Royals, makes his first all-star appearance. He pushes Kansas City’s total to three all-stars, joining Alex Gordon and Salvador Perez at Citi Field on Tuesday night.

First up is the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night.  Chris Davis of the Orioles hit his major league leading 37th home run on Sunday, and he’ll be joined on the AL squad by defending champ Prince Fielder of the Tigers, Yoenis Cespedes of the A’s, and Robinson Cano of the Yankees.  Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper headlines the NL big boppers, and will be joined by Pedro Alvarez of the Pirates, Michael Cuddyer of the Rockies, and David Wright of the hosting New York Mets.

Coverage begins at 7:00pm on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN from ESPN Radio.
