The Kansas City Royals continued their hot play as they pounded out a 13-0 win over the Minnesota Twins last night to open up a ten game home stand at Kauffman Stadium. Jeremy Guthrie (12-7) was superb as he tossed a four hit shut out to pick up his fourth straight decision.
The heavy hitters last night for Kansas City was Mike Moustakas and Eric Hosmer. Hosmer had a career high five RBI’s including a 3 run home run. Moustakas had four hits with a couple of RBI’s.
The Royals try to continue their winning ways tonight (Tuesday) at Kauffman Stadium. Game two against the Twins tonight with the first pitch set for 7:10 pm.
