According to experts suicide has become a growing problem facing many in the United States. Pawnee Mental Health Executive Director Robbin Cole believes the workshop will help with education efforts.

The Pawnee Mental Health center  is there to help anyone in need, or anyone that believes they know of someone in need of their services.

Cole says some ofthe symptoms seen before a suicide include ideation.. the thought of killing oneself, or getting out from under some perceived impossible situation.  Cole says another indicator could be increased substance abuse over the normal baseline for the individuals behavior.

Presentations will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Houston Street Center, on 427 Houston St. (second floor), in Manhattan

Pawnee Mental Health Services, 355 Grant Ave., in Junction City

..and Wesleyan Church, 1603 Cedar Street, Concordia.
