Two Manhattan men have been arrested by Riley County Police on drug-related charges following execution of a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:45 in the 600 block of South Eighth Street . Drugs and paraphernalia were seized.

27-year-olds John Martin and Aswad Bartley were taken into custody for charges which include possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

Martin’s bond was set at $25,000, with Bartley’s set at $10,000.

Those with information on the distribution of illegal drugs in Riley County are encouraged to contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Those using Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and for tips leading to an arrest, a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 is possible.

Two Missouri men were arrested by Geary County Sheriff’s Department Deputies Wednesday afternoon on drug-related charges. Marcus Dixson of Shelbina and Christopher Elliott of Oakland Gravel were taken into custody during a traffic stop on I-70 at mile marker 307, shortly before three p.m.

Sheriff Tony Wolf tells KMAN the two had possession of a small amount of drugs, paraphernalia, and cash.

However since they are from out of state, their bonds were set at 100-thousand dollars.
