With a 23-22 lead, the K-State volleyball team looked to claim the first set at Iowa State on Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. But, the Cyclones rallied for a 26-24 victory, and led by as many as nine points in the final two frames to win both 25-19, 25-18 over the Cats. Courtney Traxson topped the K-State attack with eight kills.  Katie Brand posted 25 assists and 11 digs for her eighth double-double this season for the Wildcats, and also led K-State (13-4, 1-3) with four blocks.  Manhattan native Tristan McCarty had 13 digs.  Iowa State (9-5, 3-1) was led offensively by a pair of freshmen, Ciara Capezio had 11 kills and Morgan Kuhrt added 10.

K-State volleyball will stay on the road this Saturday night at Oklahoma.  First serve will be at 7:00pm from McCasland Fieldhouse in Norman, and pregame will begin at 6:30 on 1350kman.com.  NewsRadio 1350 KMAN will join the match around first serve.
