    K-State Fans Pack Ahearn as Cats Sweep Tech

    Kaitlynn Pelger moved into fourth place in career kills at K-State in a straight sets win over Texas Tech on Saturday night, 25-19, 25-19, and 25-22. 3,100 fans saw the match on “Pack the House Night” at Ahearn Fieldhouse, as Pelger had 15 kills and now 1,408 at K-State, as she passed Yolanda Young (1,394) on the Wildcats’ all-time list. She hit .406 on the night, and added eight digs and two blocks.

    Dakota Kaufman also had 10 kills for the Cats as she hit .450, and Courtney Traxson contributed nine kills. Katie Brand dished out 40 assists, matching her best in a three-set match. Gina Madonia led K-State (14-5, 2-4) with 11 digs, and Tristan McCarty had 10. Traxson and Taylor Johnson each had four blocks. Meghan Stacy and Jenna Allen each posted 10 kills for Texas Tech (8-14, 1-6)

    K-State will go back out on the road on Wednesday at Baylor. First serve will be at 7:00pm and pregame begins at 6:30 on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
