Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident just a mile and a half south of Lyons Creek Road around 7:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
Gary Swartz (20), of Junction City, was driving northbound on U 77, when he drove off the side of the road and struck a field entrance. He then went airborne and rolled several times before the vehicle came to a rest.
Swartz was transported to Mercy Regional Hospital for injuries.
