A January 14th status hearing was set Tuesday for a 33-year-old Wamego man, charged in connection with last week’s shooting at Quality Inn and Suites in East Manhattan. Dustin Monroe faces charges of three counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm into an unoccupied building, and one count of criminal damage to property.
Monroe’s attorney asked for a reduction in his $250,000 bond during the Tuesday Pottawatomie county court appearance but the bond was left where it is for now.
