The Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to 820 Colorado Street, around 9:45 p.m. Sunday,  for a report of a structure fire.  Upon arrival, crews found a two story apartment building with smoke and fire visible in the rear.  The fire reached a second alarm before it was contained within 20 minutes.  There were five fire apparatus and 17 firefighters that responded to the fire.

The last units cleared the scene at around 2:15 a.m.  Despite temperatures being just above zero, no injuries or weather related issues were reported.

The building was a two story single family residence that had been converted into three apartments.  There were five tenants living in two apartments at the time of the fire.

The American Red Cross assisted with housing for one of the tenants.

    Loss is estimated around $80,000.

The owner is listed as Rusty Rogers of Manhattan.  The fire cause is under investigation at this time.

Resident names were released, although none were injured. Ray Mann Spriggs, 26, Luke Johnson, 50, and Aaron Jones, 41 all live in the apartment complex.
