    JC Man Suffers Gunshot Wound

    Via Christi officials have informed KMAN that Bennett was still hospitalized on Wednesday in serious condition.

    Original Story
    A man has been transported to Wichita after suffering a gun shot wound Monday.
    Around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, members of the Junction City Police Department and EMS were dispatched to 11 Fuller Circle in Junction City.  The call indicated a subject had been shot.
    Upon arrival, police made contact with the victim, identified as Steven Bennett, who is a Fort Riley soldier.  Bennett was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, and was quickly transported to the Geary Community Hospital.  He was later transferred to Via Christi Hospital in Wichita.
    This incident is still under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Junction City Police Department at 785-762-5912.
