A line stretched back down Tuttle Cove Road as volunteers queued up to join the search for Jane Peterson.  Peterson has been missing since the 19th of January, and authorities say her vehicle was found near a shower point in the  Tuttle Cove area.

The search is organized by Peterson’s family with the support of local Emergency Response teams.

Riley County Emergency Response coordinator Pat Collins says this search is a follow up done after the initial searches for Peterson conducted earlier in the week.  The Peterson family has garnered permission from local land owners to search their property, and if time allows the organizers will have volunteers search the previously searched areas once again to ensure broader coverage.

Peterson family member Mark Torrey told KMAN “Hope we find her…pray for the best.”
