The Riley County Police Department released information Thursday about an attempted aggravated robbery, which occurred in the 2100 block of Green Avenue in Manhattan, Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, officers were told that Anson Eddy (30) of Manhattan was approached by at least two subjects, one of whom was brandishing what appeared to be a handgun. Eddy was ultimately able to flee the area without any injury.

Patrol officers and detectives, were able to track down several suspects and make four arrests for the offense of attempted aggravated robbery including Antonio Vinson (16), Tieler Reeves (17) and Andrew O’Connell (16) all from Manhattan. Reeves was the runaway juvenile KMAN reported on last month in Pottawatomie County.  These subjects are currently confined at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center located in Junction City.

Tyrell Scott (21) of Manhattan was also arrested and is still confined at the Riley County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.

Upon further investigation, Danielle O’Connell (35) of Manhattan was arrested Friday for contributing to a child’s misconduct, furnishing alcoholic liquor to a minor and unlawfully hosting minors consuming alcoholic liquor. She was held at the Riley County Jail on $5,000 bond.

After the suspects were apprehended, officers were able to confirm that the item used in the attempted robbery was a handgun style bb gun.
