The Governor will be paying a visit to Manhattan next Tuesday. Manhattan Ogden School board President Curt Herrman told KMAN Tuesday morning he just confirmed Governor Sam Brownback’s visit Monday evening. The Governor will be at Woodrow Wilson elementary school February 25th at 1:30 p.m.
The elementary school received the 2013 Governor’s Achievement award, one of only 42 elementary schools out of the nearly 800 in the state. To receive the award, schools must be in the top 5 percent of schools in both reading and math on the state assessments and meet goals for attendance and graduation rate.
