The Flint Hills Metropolitan Planning Organization has hired URS Corporation out of Minneapolis to assist in the development of the region’s first Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). URS will team with Shockey Consulting, Schwab Eaton and Toole Design Group to prepare the multi-modal long-range plan.
The planning process will kick-off in April and take about 18 months to complete. This plan will establish a vision for the future of the Flint Hills and identify projects to be implemented over the next 25 years to address both existing and future transportation issues.
