MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP)   The Kansas City Royals have canceled Tuesday’s Royals Caravan visits to Manhattan and Fort Riley because of the impending winter storm.

The team said Monday it’s not certain if the trip will be rescheduled.

Tuesday’s northeast Kansas trip was billed as a Salute to the Military. The Royals have been partnering with USO chapters at Fort Riley and in Missouri throughout the caravan to collect items for service members overseas and returning from duty.

The Royals Caravan has visited 18 communities throughout the Midwest. Tuesday’s northeast Kansas trip was the last leg of the tour.
