The identity of the deceased individual located on February 28th, in the water at the Tuttle Creek Lake has been identified as Jane Peterson (56) of rural St.George. This news came from Pottawatomie County Sheriff, Greg Riat Tuesday morning. Jane Peterson had been reported as a missing person by family members on January 19th, 2014.

The Sheriff’s Office does not suspect foul play in this incident. The cause of death identified by the pathologist in this matter was drowning and hypothermia.

According to ksu.edu, Peterson was the Senior Administrative Assistant in Physics at Kansas State University.  Several search parties had went out to find Peterson over the past couple months, and her truck was located in the Tuttle Cove area.
