Coming off a huge win Wednesday night at arch-rival Kansas the Kansas State Women’s Basketball team had a chance to pull off another road victory on Saturday but in the end they would come up short as the Wildcats fell at 15th-ranked Oklahoma State 67-62 Saturday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.

After trailing 36-23 at halftime, K-State came out strong in the second half and grabbed the lead while holding the Cowgirls to 17 points through the first 17 minutes of the second half. K-State led 57-53 with 2:59 to play but Oklahoma State which was coming off an embarrassing home loss to Iowa State erupted for eight straight points to take the lead for good with less than a minute remaining.

Leticia Romero and Ashlynn Knoll led Kansas State with 19 points apiece while Kindred Wesemann added 12 points. Tiffany Bias led four Cowgirls in double figures with 17 points.

Kansas State (11-17, 5-12) will wrap up the 2013-14 regular season on Monday night against TCU at Bramlage Coliseum, when the Seniors will be honored in their final game in Manhattan. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
