Caroline Ballard scored 14 points and Darby Price added 10 as the Manhattan High girls basketball team beat Shawnee Mission West 55-39 in the 6A state tournament quarterfinals at Koch Arena in Wichita on Wednesday afternoon. The top seeded Tribe won their 20th game in a row to improve to 22-1.

Lanie Page scored 27 points as the Wamego girls basketball team took the first step in defending their state title with a 51-40 victory over Mulvane in the 4A Division I state quarterfinals on Wednesday night at the Bicentennial Center in Salina. Kaylee Page posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Lady Raiders improved to 23-0.
The Wamego girls will meet KC Piper in the 4A Division I state semifinals on Friday night at 6:30pm in Salina. You can hear the game on Hot Country B104.7 at 6:10.

The Rock Creek boys took a two point lead into the fourth quarter, but saw Riverton rally for a 58-50 victory on Wednesday night in the 3A state tournament quarterfinals at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. Carson Becker and Jared Garcia each scored 15 points in the loss for the Mustangs.
Rock Creek ends the season at 20-4 after making their second state tournament appearance in the last three years.
