A motion hearing was held Tuesday afternoon in Riley County District Court for the woman charged in the first degree murder where John Burroughs (68), of Manhattan, was found dead in his residence in September of last year.
Christina Love (49) appeared in court, alongside her attorney-Jason Hoffman. Hoffman requested additional time in the case, in order to go through recently discovered materials.
As a result, Love would waive her right to a speedy trial.
Chief Judge, Meryl Wilson granted this request, and set Love’s pre-trial conference status hearing for May 5th at 3:30 p.m.
