A 60-year-old Kansas Department of Corrections inmate convicted of second degree murder in Riley County in 1982 has been passed over for parole.
Michael Long’s earliest possible release date is now listed as May first of 2017. He is being held at the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility, with a custody level listed as maximum.
Long was part of the public comment session grouping of inmates for the month of March, with a parole hearing in April. He had also been passed over for parole two years ago.
Long was sentenced in March of 1983, in connection with the murder case, which occurred in August of 1982. He’s been held at the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility much of the time he’s been imprisoned.
