    Kansas April unemployment numbers released

    Unemployment numbers have been released by the Kansas Department of labor for April of 2014.
    When compared to 2013 numbers the Manhattan metro area which includes Geary, Pottawatomie, and Riley Counties reported a small reduction in unemployment equating to half of a percent at 4.1%.
    Breaking the numbers down further in comparison with last year we see Manhattan with a .3%reduction at 3.4%, Junction City saw a .4% reduction at 5.5%, Geary county saw a .5%  reduction at 5.5%, Pottawatomie county saw a full 1% reduction at 3.8%, and Riley county was reported with a .6% reduction at 3.0% unemployment.
    All numbers are reported in the Kansas Labor Force Estimates released on Friday by the Kansas Department of Labor.
