By KMAN Staff on May 30, 2014 Local News, Manhattan

According to statistics released recently by the U.S. Census Bureau, Manhattan is the fastest growing “big city” in the state of Kansas.

According to the Bureau’s definition, a big city contains a population of 50,000 or more.

The data was gathered from 2010 to 2013 and during that time, Manhattan grew at rate of 7.4%, the fastest in the state.

The information came from the Washington Post: http://m.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/05/29/the-fastest-growing-city-in-every-state-in-one-map/?Post+generic=%3Ftid%3Dsm_twitter_washingtonpost
