    Gas Leak Near Hobby Lobby

    UPDATE at 4:00:
     
    MFD Deputy Chief, Ryan Almes has reported that the gas leak has been stopped, and the nearby businesses have been re-opened.
     
    UPDATE at 3:30:
     
    Manhattan Fire Department officials confirmed that a one inch gas line is involved. All entrances to the nearby businesses have been blocked off. Cathy confirmed there is a distinct smell of gas in the area.

    Manhattan area residents and shoppers are being advised to avoid the Hobby Lobby area in the 600 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard due to what is being called “a large gas leak”  by Riley County Police.
     
    The report came in just before 3 p.m.
