The man charged in the death of 68 year old John Burroughs, in September of last year, appeared in court Monday afternoon for arraignment.

Anthony Nichols (37) appeared in Riley County Chief Judge, Meryl Wilson’s courtroom.  Judge Wilson stated that the information alleges that Nichols did unlawfully and knowingly kill another human being with the county limits in between the 6th and 7th of September last year.
To this charge, Nichols made a plea of not guilty.
A trial date was set for October 8th at 9 a.m., and at this time is only set for that one day.
