Grossmont Community College offensive tackle A.J. Allen has informed KMAN that he is on his way to K-State early this week. K-State players are scheduled report Sunday for the start of fall camp.
Allen won’t make it on Sunday, but he says he expects to be in Manhattan, “around Tuesday or Wednesday.”
This is welcome news to the Wildcats who need help at offensive tackle after losing both Cornelius Lucas and Tavon Rooks to graduation.
Fellow junior college offensive tackle Luke Hayes practiced in the spring, but ended up playing at guard in the spring game. All-Big 12 guard Cody Whitehair may be forced to play tackle when the season begins on August 30th.
