Garden City Community College head coach Matt Miller tells KMAN that linebacker D’Vonta Derricott has now graduated from Garden City, is eligible to play for K-State and should be headed to Manhattan late Monday or Tuesday.
Derricott is the final of four junior college recruits that K-State has been waiting on since the start of fall camp. Linebacker Isaiah Riddle, offensive tackle A.J. Allen and defensive tackle Terrell Clinkscales arrived late last week.
Derricott was a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com who picked the Wildcats over offers from Miami (FL), West Virginia, Wisconsin and many others.
K-State opens the season on August 30th at home against Stephen F. Austin.
