The first ever Dogtoberfest event was held on Saturday from noon to four o’clock, and City Park quickly filled up soon after it started.
Dog breeds of all kinds could be seen, as owners brought their canines on leashes. Goods and services, such as $5 nail trimmings, were offered within the pavilion. Booths were set up throughout the building, offering dog food samples, dog toys, and pet care items.
Behind the pavilion, an agility course was set up for dogs to try.
A few demonstrations were presented later in the day, including a frisbee demonstration and a search/rescue demonstration.
Other activities included-face painting for children, pet nutrition seminars, and pet adoptions.
Although this is the first of it’s kind, the organizers hope to make this an annual event.
