A Junction City man facing charges in connection with a July shooting has entered a not guilty plea in connection with the case. Robbie Dewayne Fountain Jr.’s arraignment was held earlier this week in Geary county District Court. A status hearing is set for January 12th. Fountain is also serving 24 months in the Geary county Jail in connection with another case.
Also charged in the shooting is Jefferson James of Junction City, who failed to appear at his last hearing. A bench warrant has been issued for James.
The shooting involving the two men occurred on West Sixth Street in Junction City, where a Wendy’s restaurant is located. One individual went to the Geary Community Hospital but was treated and released.
Fountain is charged with attempted murder and James with a conspiracy charge.
