Casey Alexander will coach his first official game in purple Tuesday as Kansas State men’s basketball welcomes South Dakota State to Bramlage Coliseum to open the 2026-27 season.

“There’s excitement. It’s definitely the real thing. And we put in a lot of time and effort to get to this point,” Alexander said. “I do think the exhibitions minimize what used to feel so different about playing your first game, but Tuesday is what we all came to Kansas State for, to play the games and to be a team. So that part’s exciting.”
