Injury Accident on I-70

By KMAN Staff on November 10, 2014 Geary County, Local News, Manhattan, Uncategorized

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident Monday afternoon on I-70 near mile marker 315, just 12 miles from Manhattan.

According to a report from the KHP, Melanie Stubbs (22) of Manhattan fell asleep at the wheel of her 2011 Nissan Rogue. Her vehicle drifted left off the roadway, striking a cross-over, which launched it into the air before coming to a rest on its hood in the median.

Kaleb Dugan (22) and Kristian Dugan (2) both of Manhattan, were listed as passengers in the vehicle. All three were transported to Mercy Regional Health Center with Stubbs and Kaleb Dugan listed with injuries. Kristian Dugan was restrained in a car seat and had a possible injury. Kaleb Dugan and Stubbs were treated and released. The child’s condition was not released due to her age.
